My boys

Is there anything better???

I think not!!!!

A few people have asked why I am going private. It isn't something I've ever really cared about doing. Honestly, I kinda liked that fact that old buddies, pals, etc etc could stumble on our blog and see my beautiful family. I decided to go private when I started getting random comments from people I didn't know. It creeped me out to think about weirdos looking at my kids. So that's the reason. I'll probably go private within the next week or so. So, if you haven't left your e-mail and you would like to read my blog, just leave your e-mail address in a comment or you can send it to me e-mail at kimberly_barney@yahoo.com.

What a great weekend!!!

This weekend was filled with some amazing things. First off, we had family in town. The Barney family with the exception of 3 were in town. We ate yummy food, enjoyed the company of one another, watched the World Series (of course), played fun games , boys went golfing, saw a good movie, etc etc.
We had some funny trick-or-treating attempts. The very first house we went to turned us away, TURNED US AWAY!! On Halloween! Or maybe I should say they turned Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh away. So, one thing I noticed about trick or treating in Texas is that NO ONE does it on our street. I seriously didn't see one person. Then you walk a few streets down and it's hopping, kinda weird.
Halloween was awesome this year but the highlight of my weekend was when my husband took my little son in his arms and gave him a beautiful blessing. It was the sweetest little blessing and it really touched me. I was filled with so much love for my son and gratitude to my Heavenly Father for giving him to me to raise. I have a beautiful family and I am very happy and blessed. Please enjoy these pictures of our wonderful weekend here in Texas.

P.S. NOTHING beats the weather here right now, it's AMAZING!!

FREE MONEY!!!!!

Who doesn't like free money? We signed up for supplemental insurance when I was pregnant with Dean and we just got our last payout check. Let me tell you, it was well worth it. Here's how it works. You need to have the insurance for 10 months before you can get your payouts. So, you sign up for the insurance, wait 2 months to try and get pregnant (just to be safe), pay a monthly fee to the insurance companies, have your baby and get free money!! Our monthly payment was $200.00. We paid that for about 12 months. Which turns out to be $2,400.00. It might seem like that is a lot but we just received our last check in the mail and our grand total is..... (drum-roll please)..... $8,100.00!!! Yes, you read that right, we got $8,100.00 from our supplemental insurance. You can always do different plans so your monthly payments will be smaller or bigger than ours.

So, now that you know this works and it's real you have to do it. If any of you readers are thinking of having a baby soon, let me know. I will get you in touch with my brother in law, who set everything up for us. He made it all very easy and understandable. It's amazing and like I said before, who doesn't like free money!!!

Gotta love Texas...

This is a crazy video of the insane birds at a stoplight by our house. Also, notice the way the stoplights are positioned. Weird huh??

Fantastic Four

It's a little crazy to me how fast time goes by. I blinked my eyes and suddenly I've been married to Christian for 4 years, we live in Houston, Texas and we have 2 beautiful boys. My life is amazing and I truly am very blessed. We celebrated our 4th anniversary yesterday. It was a fun yet casual day. Christian got me a picture of my favorite painting by my favorite artist:

I can't wait to hang it in our family room. I got Christian some poker chips. We love to play Texas Holdem' (No, we don't bet, it's just for fun!).

Here are some fun pix of me and Christian throughout the last 4 years. Happy Anniversary honey, i love you!!

This is on our honeymoon in Hawaii with our sweet free shirts the hotel gave us and out cool convertible PT Cruiser!!

Sad to leave our honeymoon!!

Fry sauce....

So, we went out to eat at Red Robin the other night. They brought out their famously delicious fries, but it was missing something, their equally as delicious sauce that comes with it. So I very casually asked the server if I could get some fry sauce. She looked at me like I was crazy. She said, "Like ketchup? Or Ranch?". After I said ketchup is fine I looked across that table at Christian and said "Oh my gosh honey, we're not in Utah anymore". I can't believe the poor people of Texas have never tasted the greatness of Red Robin fry sauce!!!

Here are some recent photos:
